How many of you living in France or perhaps even doing some research whilst living in the UK have entered a French site only to be confused or unable to read and understand some or all of what is written?
I am sure we have all turned to Babelfish in the past to translate certain paragraphs or a scan using OCR but what about translating a web page?
If you download Google you will have an option on translation. By right clicking in a space on the page you will bring up a menu. In that menu is an option under page info to translate the page into English.
Sometimes the translation can be strange because French will often turn the phrase on its head but unless it is a legal document this will be adequate for understanding the topic.
Of course any legal stuff should be presented to a lawyer or Notaire to avoid any costly mistakes.
Alternatively Google have a site dedicated to translation which I must say I find extremely useful.
