Who says its always sunny in the Dordogne.....
After an Indian summer and very mild winter thus far we have had two days of wintry showers with snow settling on the ground.
Update......28th January. More snow and this time much deeper, widespread and settling and staying for much of the day. There was no indication the previous evening of what was to come.
Many complain that gritting isn't done in the UK when there is bad weather but from what I can tell in France this is just logistacally impossible to do and the rural roads were an icerink.
Friday morning was majestic and we thought that we might never see snow again in the winter and it was pleasing to see it. Henry & Fleur were sent home when they arrived at school.
