St Foy La Grande, a nice day out
Clos d'Yvigne

A close shave

Or at least I hope so.

Yesterday evening the intensely hot weather broke with a bang! The winds were not as intense as the last great storm. The rain however fell in buckets and the thunder and lightening was very dramatic. Hector our black Labrador could not find the refuge he needed and couldn't be comforted either.

This morning has started overcast and much fresher. I can hear a single chainsaw. Its buzzing, cutting through the still of the countryside in tandem with the blade cutting through the wood.

Only time will tell us if the damage is anywhere near the last one.
