Chez Nous

Pigeonnaire_0012222_3 School holidays are pretty rigid. Understandably, families rush to find a suitable venue in which to spend that valuable time together.

As a result the 6-8 week July and August period can become extremely busy. However, many retired or professional couples who don’t have those restrictions and remain flexible may be looking for that elusive magical break after the school holidays.

The advantage of this are fewer tourists to hustle you as you amble through that Saturday market or Bastide town.

Furthermore, you can turn up at the best restaurant in town without a reservation and of course it might be more peaceful as you take that long leisurely meal after a day spent by the pool.

One of the major benefits here  in south west France is September, October and a lot of November are still very warm.

Temperatures are often touching or exceeding 30 degrees and for the last 3 years we have sat outside in November and eaten our evening meal.

The mornings need to be experienced as the nights dew evaporates into the morning sky when the sun warms the ground, the atmosphere is so serene and the humidity no existent.

Sleeping at night is easier but topping up the tan during the day very much almost guaranteed.

If you are looking for a peaceful un-rushed holiday in late summer this year then arguably you can experience one of the finest views any breakfast terrace can offer.

Of course we are biased so if your curious, tempted and wonder whether its just marketing hype or for real then feel free to peruse our availability

The Pigeonnaire sleeps 4 people and will accommodate your needs easily. The rooms are spacious and the whole house whilst completely gutted, extended and renovated has been reproduced for the discerning Francophile.

The outside living is spacious too and to eat your evening meal facing the sunset has got to be experienced to be truly appreciated No words from me here can do it justice.

.

The exclusive swimming pool has been tastefully created too thus cleverly extending that outside room.

In our case, the pool is a feature in itself and continues the theme of the whole ensemble.
